So I wake up at 6:30 and Rona's dead. I decided not to wake her up since she was planning to sleep til 9...haha so I sat there for a while, listened to music, and then studied for my APUSH test [: (so nerdy) THEN the boys woke up and banged on the door, waking Rona up so my attempt at letting her sleep til 9 failed. I went to eat breakfast at Burger King with them and again...I listened to their awkward convos about sex tapes/naked pictures/slutty girls for 2 hours. But I was happy because I had my coffee. :D YAYYYY. Aww I'm going to miss that coffee...that was good coffee. Then we went back to the room to hang out until 1. I made another pot of coffee except it was decaf DX so I had to give that to Lily and make a new pot. It was my first time making coffee :D Oh and while I was making coffee, Richard walks out naked except I didn't pay attention because I was making my coffee. :P Then we watched weird videos on youtube until Volpe came to give us our schedules for the day. At 12, Anis, Lily, Richard, Bergman, and I went to get food except I wasn't hungry so I bought a tub of ice cream (Ben & Jerry's Half Bake = AMAZING) and Richard made me pick between Ben and Jerry...weird. I also bought a can of Monster cuz I knew I was going to crash between rounds which would've been terrible.
We go back to change into suits and then left for Susquehanna University at 1 to listen to Volpemaster give her speech for her induction into the Hall of Fame (: YAY. Then we hung out until 3:45 until draws for 1st round and I got 6th speaker so I hung out for 30 min with some cool kids from the middle of nowhere. :D I'm terrible with names so of course I didn't remember any of their names...which is bad. Then I found Spencer, whom I met at the NA tournament and is pretty cool so we hung out when we didn't have to speak. John Bute decided that this was the perfect opportunity to hit on me so of course Spencer and I had to create an escape route so we went outside and played frisbee with TRBs (aka Tab Room Bitches).
We were in a HUGE lecture hall for prep which was fun until I realized that everyone else had a laptop...and that apparently you can use the internet to find sources. WTF?! That defeats all purpose of having tubs. ]:
First Round was SO MUCH FUN. First, because I got to speak about bonuses for AIG executive :D and second, because I was hyper from the Monster. The round room was backed up by a couple of speakers so I sat outside and met this cool kid from...Harrisburg? I don't remember...I ended up getting a 2 and a 3 in that room which is decent. [:
Second Round...boring. Probably the 5th time I've had to speak about Gitmo this year. I could probably deliver a canned speech on it. xD But I walk out and sees John Bute waiting for me...super creepy. He asks me how my round was and I tried to ditch him. (: Story of my prep room life. He tells me to lighten up because I was ignoring him and then proceeds to put his arms around me...BARF. I then go into the prep room to pretend that I had to clean my tubs and he decided to wait. I sat in there for a good 10-20 minutes until he finally left and then I left with this girl (forgot her name ]:) to go hang out until Round 3 starts. We see the TRBs and Richard proceeds with his disgusting 20 minute story about his 30 second experience in the girl's bathroom. :D It was funny but definitely TMI. Richard tells his story about meeting a college girl and pretending that he was a college student. :D Karma came back and bit him in the butt. Then they leave and I hang out with Johnny which was fun (:
Round 3 was terrible. That is all. :D I had to speak 5 minutes about Robert Gates who isn't very interesting and I was crashing from my lack of sleep. Then I yell at my fellow extemper for not cleaning up the tubs (I'm definitely going to be a tub Nazi next year...perhaps even worse than Stacey :/)
Then I go and have the best conversation of my life with the person who makes my life (: I know that sounds so redundant.
Then we go back to the hotel at 11 and Rona and I bonded until 3 in the morning. :D

Thursday March 26
4:30 PM
So I just had the BEST 3 days of my life. [: I'm going to start from Thursday, which was the day we left for Selinsgrove. Anyways, we got on the bus and picked our seats and immediately I find out that Kevin's into threesomes. HAHA that's basically the story of the trip. Awkward moments. It's because Rona and him decided to take the back row and Rona invited me to sit with them but I refused because I knew it was going to be wayyy awkward. But then Kevin assures me that it's okay because he's into threesomes.
Anyways, so everyone goes to sleep except Kyle, Richard, and me. Richard goes to listen to his communist music (which apparently makes him feel like superman) and I listen to Kyle's ipod (he has some crazy songs). We wanted to wake everyone up but then decided against it :P Then everyone finally woke up and Volpe decides to put on a movie to make us shut up so she can go back to sleep. We watched Spirited Away except I stopped after the first 10 minutes because Richard was making awkward comments and ruined the movie for me :D ("OHH The boy's fast with his hands...I bet they'll have sex at the end of the movie") BY THE WAY. You don't want to have a picture of anime sex in your head at 8 in the morning. So then I decided to go hang out with him cuz everyone else watched the movie (which is 3 hours long D:) We listened to his communist music and I accidently taught him to swear in Chinese...that's all he did for the entire ride there--swear in Chinese every 5 seconds.
So we get there and partied in the Yans' room and I have a bunch of crazy videos of Kyle, Kevin, and Richard dancing as well as Sinko singing (off key might I add). Then we decided to watch Slumdog Millionaire which is SUCH a good movie. So cute!! I want Indian kids now.
Then, we go unpack and hang out until dinner at Hoss's at 6:30. We go to Hoss's and Rona, Lily, Kevin, and I sit together and we ordered from the kid's menu. :D it made me so happy. Kevin decided that we should have a drawing contest and draw the person sitting in front of you (aka me). He drew me as a fat stickman :P I drew him as an elephant. Of course I won because my picture was definitely accurate. Then the food came and I find out that my fries were shaped like smiley faces! SOOO of course I had to play with it and they battled each other...
Then, we get back to the hotel and had to go practice ): BOO. I spoke for Sinko and the Yans and luckily I only had to stay in practice for 35 minutes (unlike the debate kids who had to stay for an hour). After practice, people decided to watch the college basketball game and I didn't want to so Richard and I went to go watch House. This led to an awkward convo (surprise surprise) because I told him I find House insanely attractive. I believe we ended up playing "would you rather--teammate style" which led to even more awkwardness. :P Especially since Bergman walked in in the middle and decided he wanted to play as well...We actually did that the entire weekend cuz Richard would randomly give me two guys to pick from. Curfew was at 11 but OF COURSE no one went to sleep and since our room was right next to Bergman, Anis, Kevin, and Richard's room...we had no sleep because they won't stop talking. All we could hear were giggling...you can just imagine what they were doing. [: So yes we slept at 2 and woke up 6:30.
PS: I will post picture and videos up on facebook soon

): I haven't posted in a really long time because I've been really really lazy. (as usual) Anyways, States is this week! :D I'm super excited. But I don't think teachers should put tests on days when the Orchestra, Band, and Forensics kids are leaving. (: I have to make up 3 tests when I get back and chances are, I'm not going to study at States. So...3 tests+Connie slacking+getting nothing done at States= intense cramming on Sunday. YAY.
One thing which has bothered me lately is realizing that I have a tendency of pushing people away. I've noticed that I've lost touch with a lot of my friends from Freshmen year. I never make a huge effort to keep these friends nor do I seem to care. ): But I've realized now that I probably will push most of my High school friends away once I'm in college except for the select few who are closest to me. I guess the problem right now is that I don't see these friends enough mostly because I don't have classes with them. The problem with taking AP classes is that I'm stuck in this bubble with a particular group of people (There are certain people who are in 3-4 of my classes) and my friends are closed off to only include this group. I see this with my friends from Alabama as well...I love them to death but it's hard to stay connected because we live in two different worlds. However, I have kept in touch with a few friends who I consider my besties. Anyways, maybe I should do this for lent instead since my other resolutions aren't working too well =/
Sorry for the depressing post...I'm having a depressing day (:

Yay! My star family (: They look so happy even though they're blurry. Paula and I are starting a star collection and every day during Calc, we're going to make stars to try to get 1000 stars. (: Very productive, I know.
I took a clearer picture :D

So, you know how you're supposed to learn from the mistakes of others? Well, I'm going to tell you about my new photoshop addiction so you can learn from it. :D Recently, a friend got me Photoshop CS3. I'm forever grateful for it (: but it has basically consumed my life. Yesterday, I came home and played around on it until 9 before finally realizing that I should probably get started on my homework. I now have over 100 brush sets for no reason (I realized that I download the most useless, ridiculous things--I now have a brush set with baby silhouettes) Someone needs to lock that program before I fail school :D So lesson for the day: Don't get Photoshop.
Anyways, I'm going to see Beauty and the Beast tonight to support my friend, who has one line in the musical :D. It should be a good show seeing as how all the shows have been sold out. Hmm...I haven't seen Beauty and the Beast since I was 7...I think. Which reminds me, I'm going to take next Saturday (my 1st free Saturday in months) to re watch Disney movies. (: I'm going to revisit the classics and FINALLY watch Mulan so I will no longer be ashamed to be the only Asian who hasn't watched Mulan. I'm also going to take next Saturday to do massive baking for States the follow week. According to Volpe, Adrianna Jensen bakes the BEST cupcakes and I just got the magic recipe from her :DDD I tried some and it seriously taste like it has weed in it...not that I would know what weed tastes like...:D but it was AMAZING.
Moving on. I'm currently reading
Freakonomics by Steven Levitt, and it's really interesting (: I would highly recommend it to all of you because it's definitely a book that makes you think. AND it's not that boring even though it's about Economics. For example, in the introduction it gives you this situation:
IN the 1990s, experts realized that there had been a rapid increase in crime--especially among teenagers. The forecast was grim about the future of teen violence and President Clinton even made it a priority in his administration. Experts estimated that crime rates will increase well into the 21st century even doubling by 2000. However, when the 21st century arrived, crime rates started to fall rapidly, with no particular reason. It was ubiquitous, with every category of crime falling in every part of the country and persisted year after year. Some experts hurried to explain this drop by attributing it to the roaring 1990s economy but that wasn't the reason. So, I will pose this question to you guys, why did the crime rates decline dramatically in the 21st century?

I'm a huge nerd so I'm going to talk about math because it makes me happy (: On Friday, I found out that I qualified to take the AIME, which basically made my entire week, but this also means that I will be spending a good bit of my time doing insanely hard math problems to practice D: I actually want to try to do well on the test even though the problems are impossible. :P Last year, I was 1 question away from qualifying, which is incredibly frustrating. I've realized that throughout my academic career, math is the only subject I can count on and probably the only subject I can understand and apply. I'm definitely not an English/History person, and this year definitely showed me that. I'm struggling this year in English, and I dread going to History on a daily basis. I hate classes that rely on pure memorization (Physics) so the only class I actually like this year is Calc. [: It's really fun and we basically do nothing...it's like a study hall every other day. (Not to mention Volpe is fun as a teacher)
Anyways, I've also discovered that there's a direct correlation between weather and my productivity. I KNOW I should be studying for my history test but it's warm outside, which means that I'm looking outside every 10 seconds instead of focusing on my work. ]:
The mission trip's basically set and we're going to Rockhill, South Carolina...yay...7.5 hour car ride with a bunch of loud kids. I'm going to see if I can bring a tv, a wii, and my guitar hero game. I can actually play on hard now which means that my addiction is back. My mom watched me play the other day and it made her happy to see me doing so well...apparently she thinks it has something to do with all the money she spent on piano lessons. Yeah...so my mom's proud that I'm good at video games. She's SO weird. Okay, back to the trip. :P I'm actually pretty excited because there's going to be 250 other kids there from across the country. :D
Oh, and I really need a job...I want to work at Bruster's because it's really close to my house but I don't think I can stand scooping so much ice cream. :P
Oh, and I've decided that I'm going to be a total geek and go to extemp camp this summer :D
:D :D :D I'm in such a good mood for no particular reason. It's probably the weather. Sorry for being so inconsistent in this post...:P I basically threw down everything that's going through my head.

This song's so cute. [:
Anyways, this week has been super busy, but I guess that's what you get for being a Junior. (: I've decided that I'm going to die next year juggling AP classes along with my college apps. Speaking of AP Classes, NA is not offering AP Econ next year which makes me sad )': So I guess I have to take Euro...
Apparently it's likely that Gov school will be canceled this summer so I'm going to have to find something else to do with my time. ]: I procrastinated on getting my permit so I'm not going to be able to get my license until September, which means that I'm probably going to be stuck in the house. Anyways, we're currently deciding where to go for our mission trip and the choices are between Knoxville, TN, Philly, some random place in the middle of PA, and Rock hill, SC. Knoxville and Rock hill are apparently each 7.5 hours away, and as much as I love the kids in YF I can't sit in a car with them for that long :P.
