I'm a huge nerd so I'm going to talk about math because it makes me happy (: On Friday, I found out that I qualified to take the AIME, which basically made my entire week, but this also means that I will be spending a good bit of my time doing insanely hard math problems to practice D: I actually want to try to do well on the test even though the problems are impossible. :P Last year, I was 1 question away from qualifying, which is incredibly frustrating. I've realized that throughout my academic career, math is the only subject I can count on and probably the only subject I can understand and apply. I'm definitely not an English/History person, and this year definitely showed me that. I'm struggling this year in English, and I dread going to History on a daily basis. I hate classes that rely on pure memorization (Physics) so the only class I actually like this year is Calc. [: It's really fun and we basically do nothing...it's like a study hall every other day. (Not to mention Volpe is fun as a teacher)

Anyways, I've also discovered that there's a direct correlation between weather and my productivity. I KNOW I should be studying for my history test but it's warm outside, which means that I'm looking outside every 10 seconds instead of focusing on my work. ]:

The mission trip's basically set and we're going to Rockhill, South Carolina...yay...7.5 hour car ride with a bunch of loud kids. I'm going to see if I can bring a tv, a wii, and my guitar hero game. I can actually play on hard now which means that my addiction is back. My mom watched me play the other day and it made her happy to see me doing so well...apparently she thinks it has something to do with all the money she spent on piano lessons. Yeah...so my mom's proud that I'm good at video games. She's SO weird. Okay, back to the trip. :P I'm actually pretty excited because there's going to be 250 other kids there from across the country. :D

Oh, and I really need a job...I want to work at Bruster's because it's really close to my house but I don't think I can stand scooping so much ice cream. :P

Oh, and I've decided that I'm going to be a total geek and go to extemp camp this summer :D

:D :D :D I'm in such a good mood for no particular reason. It's probably the weather. Sorry for being so inconsistent in this post...:P I basically threw down everything that's going through my head.

Tribute
This is a tribute to my amazing parents, who often say things that make my day.

Texts

From Dad after I forgot to text/call for a day: "Lost and find connie yuan. Female. 17. Last time found at wei yuan house. Since then, we lost contact"

From Mom: "How are you going today. We miss you. Dad said your group was wired. Connie maybe was kidnapped. You know your dad himself is wired. Mom. [I think she meant "weird" [: This was after my dad dropped me off at camp and saw the mob and was freaked out.]

From Mom after I forgot to text again (oops): "Bad pang pang [fatty--my parents' nickname for me]. You lost again."
