Beginning of school--woohoo! Actually. It's not that exciting. Wow...I haven't blogged in a long time. Hmm, since I've last blogged, I went on vacation to Virginia Beach and then started school. I'll blog about one at a time.

Virginia beach exceeded all expectations. We thought our vacation was going to be taken over by hurricane bill--or worst, entirely canceled. But the opposite happened. It rained pretty hard the first day but we spent that day traveling so the hurricane didn't affect us as much. The rest of the days were nice and sunny and best yet, not too hot. Cindy and I spent our time either in the resort watching tv or on the beach boogie boarding. We tried going in the pool but it was too boring considering the fact that the beach is several steps away. Who goes to the beach to get in the pool anyways? It turns out, boogieboarding really works your abs. I was sore everywhere by the second day. We also went crab catching at night, which was so much fun. The crabs are literally everywhere and all you have to do is shine a light on them and they freeze so you can go pick it up. But the crabs were babies so we didn't keep any. Speaking of crabs, the ones there at the seafood market were really cheap and delicious so we had crab fest the second day we were there and ate crabs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was delicious. Good thing my seafood allergy didn't act up but I brought claritin just in case :p Overall, my trip was amazing and I have a nice tan to start off the school year [:

School is...busy. I'll blog about each class [:
Comp Sci- Mrs. Gottshall is super nice, and the class is fun [: But there are only five girls ): We played around with the Alice program, and it was a lot of fun. We're starting our first java program this week.

Bio- Mrs. Spak is nice, but the class is very dull. We take notes all the time, and it's not very hard. We also have a lot of people in our class. Mrs. Spak is leaving for one nine-week because she's having a baby.

Gym- We're starting out the year with the swimming unit D: I felt dizzy after my first swim class because my sugar level was low ): Not fun

Latin- Fun but intense. Everyone's so smart D:

English- I love this class! Mr. Caruso's hilarious and I love our discussions. Luckily, I didn't fail the summer reading quizzes on Paradise Lost and the Inferno. Also, we might not do a lot of in class writing this year because Mr. Caruso's rewriting the curriculum. It's partly because we had a different Junior year teacher who focused a lot on writing.

Chem- Mr. Davis is really intense. It's scary. But the class is easy [: Too bad we're starting off the year in Atomic history. I hate that unit. I don't care about JJ Thompson or the plum pudding model. Or electron levels.

Euro- I love this class [: Mr. Mohr's so funny and we watching really cool videos and have fun discussions

So my year so far has been pretty busy but relaxing...but this may change next week when tests start rolling in. I'm also in the midst of college applications. Hopefully I'll be able to get my early app completed soon.

Tribute
This is a tribute to my amazing parents, who often say things that make my day.

Texts

From Dad after I forgot to text/call for a day: "Lost and find connie yuan. Female. 17. Last time found at wei yuan house. Since then, we lost contact"

From Mom: "How are you going today. We miss you. Dad said your group was wired. Connie maybe was kidnapped. You know your dad himself is wired. Mom. [I think she meant "weird" [: This was after my dad dropped me off at camp and saw the mob and was freaked out.]

From Mom after I forgot to text again (oops): "Bad pang pang [fatty--my parents' nickname for me]. You lost again."
