I'm going to start with what's been going on in my life first and then explain the title [: SUMMER IS HERE! I've been waiting for this since...gosh...february? That's when I decided that the dreary weather and school work were too much to handle for a senior. I got off school on Monday and went out for dinner with some friends and bonded [: Then we went to the new froyo place in Cranberry which always makes me happy. Anyways and then today I went to church at 10:30 to help paint for VBS but then I had to go back to school to make up a chem quiz D: It wasn't pleasant being back at school when I didn't have to be there...but luckily it was only for 40 minutes. I went back to church after the quiz to paint some more and eat cup noodles! (Which we are NEVER allowed to have at home so it was pretty exciting [: even though it's American ramen and some people think it's not legit) Then I went back to school at 3 for forensics practice for kyle and richard because they'll be going to nationals this sunday...pretty exciting. Then, I went back to church to finish painting and went home at 5. So today basically consisted of many trips from the school to church...after dinner we went to Sophia's house for her glee finale party which was so much fun! It's definitely more exciting to watch shows as a group rather than by yourself...you somehow get more excited. So from 10:30am-10:30pm I was at home for a total of 2.5 hours. Just the way I like it. But this is definitely a good way to start summer :D But to make a good day even better...I'm currently having two conversations online that are putting a smile on my face [: The first is with a boy who is so dedicated to his relationship with a girl that it's indescribable. Watching the two of them made me happy. The second is with a friend whom I have pushed away a little but we are finally beginning to get closer and return to normalcy. That always makes me happy.

I also want to bring high school to a close by mentioning several things...or maybe one thing? Anyways, I was having a conversation with a friend the night before the last day of school. This friend asked me who or what group of people I will miss the most. It's easy to say friends and memorable teachers but I have realized that those aren't the type of people I will miss. Your close friends are the ones who matter to you. And if you're like me, you won't let them drift away. That's not to say you won't miss seeing your friends every day, but you can easily plan things to do when you do miss them even a little [: I've realized that the people I will miss the most are the people who you consider more than acquaintances but less than friends. They are the people you wave to in the halls, the people you talk to in your class, and the people you have superficial conversations with. They also include the people you were once close to but have drifted away from. These are the people whom you will likely never to see again unless you bump into them while grocery shopping or getting ice cream or maybe even at your reunion. The people who will drift away with time and out of your mind. But despite your forgetting them, they will always have an impact on your high school years during which you got comfortable with their presence. Perhaps you admire their boldness. Or their intelligence. Or their friendliness. But anyways...perhaps that wasn't very coherent. I have a couple of these people in mind so I just wrote about them...maybe this doesn't apply to you. But those are the people I will miss the most in college.

Tribute
This is a tribute to my amazing parents, who often say things that make my day.

Texts

From Dad after I forgot to text/call for a day: "Lost and find connie yuan. Female. 17. Last time found at wei yuan house. Since then, we lost contact"

From Mom: "How are you going today. We miss you. Dad said your group was wired. Connie maybe was kidnapped. You know your dad himself is wired. Mom. [I think she meant "weird" [: This was after my dad dropped me off at camp and saw the mob and was freaked out.]

From Mom after I forgot to text again (oops): "Bad pang pang [fatty--my parents' nickname for me]. You lost again."
